Hi and welcome to my Fine Art America Portfolio! My name is Johnna Crider and I am 26 years old. My story is a long and painful one which I express through art. I release my pain using the paintbrush and canvas.

I was homeless as a child and I want to use my art to do something that will make a difference. I would like to one day open up an art gallery that will benefit homeless shelters all across the United States because America doesn't seem to notice that the majority of her children are living in poverty--most people think of America as the land of the free, rich, and dreams being fulfilled.

Art4TheHomeless is how I express myself to the world. Art4TH is my dream to use art to raise homeless awareness in the US where the average age of a homeless American is nine years old. That means there are more and more families with children living on the streets, in shelters, or in poverty in the USA.

Art4TH has five sites:

The Blog is a revenue sharing blog--in other words, I get paid to blog. That money is being accumulated up to $100 to be divided among ten shelters.

The Zine is a webzine that promotes the homeless help organizations by using the arts. It also promotes artists, musicians, and writers from all over the world. Want to be featured? Contact me.

The Homeless Network is a site dedicated anyone in the US who is homeless and needs immediate assistance. THN has links to information regarding your Constitutional rights, getting your documents such as Social Security Cards and Naturalization papers, shelters, food banks, medical care and more!

The Online Art Gallery is where I sell my art through Zazzle.com and donate the proceeds to various homeless shelters and organizations. Just recently, the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless was a recipient.

The Art4TH Online Community is a site just for the artists, writers, musicians, and everyone else who support Art4TH.
